Silk and Squeeg was founded in 2017 by Vanja Ristovski, in a garage in Brisbane. While studying graphic design, Vanja wanted to help his peers bring their creative ideas to life and began screen printing soft goods for fellow students.
Quickly falling in love with the craft of screen printing, Silk and Squeeg became the trusted go to for local bands and creatives wanting reliable high-quality merch.
When COVID-19 hit, restrictions pushed larger Brisbane businesses to look for reliable printers closer to home. This sparked a period of rapid growth for Silk and Squeeg, cementing its reputation as not just a local favourite but a professional, dependable partner.
In 2022, Vanja joined forces with Jaeden French, who brought over a decade of printing industry experience. His expertise strengthened the studio’s ability to take on bigger projects without losing the heart and attention to detail that had defined the business since day one.
As Silk and Squeeg has expanded, each team member has brought their own dedication, unique perspective, and skills to the table. From design to production, our crew shares the same commitment to craft that has pushed the studio forward.
In 2025, Silk and Squeeg partnered with Gorgianne Jacobsen of Feed Dogs Studio, adding embroidery, DTF printing, and merchandising to the mix. With this expansion, the studio evolved into a full-service production studio.
